Froma is a non woven fleece product, which has a strong laminated blue film on one side.
When laid on top of newly laid concrete, the Froma acts as a blanket in winter to optimise the curing and setting of the concrete, allowing concrete to be laid in low temperatures without causing frost damage, or increased water ingress. Resulting in no loss of strength of the concrete laid. Froma improves temperatures by experience by 5-15˚ Celsius.
In the winter Froma is preferrably laid with the blue film face down on the concrete, as this increases the insulation properties, and simply peeled back once the concrete has set.
In the summer, Froma acts in the reverse, preventing the concrete drying out too fast, by slowing down the setting process, holding in the moisture content.
In warmer weather Froma is laid with the blue laminated sheet face up, and is simply peeled back when the concrete has set.
Froma is reusable, and available in 1m wide x 25m length rolls making it easy to handle.
Froma is ideal for concrete pads, newly laid highway kerbing as well as in tunnel construction.
Adding TDP’s concrete & screed fibres into the concrete mix, will minimise any cracking and shrinkage. Use these in conjunction with Froma, will give you the right concrete finish first time, regardless of the weather conditions.
