TDP, a specialist in problem-solving technology for the landscaping and construction market, has responded to the industry’s growing need for Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) with a range of flexible products including the brand leading Netpave porous paving, TDP Turfguard and TDP Porous Pave, a new British-manufactured recycled product launched to cater for tighter budgets.
Driven initially by the need to deal more effectively with the increasing problems of drainage and flooding, demand for porous paving has also been increased by recent planning legislation which requires consent for every driveway or new landscaping project that has an impermeable surface.
The market-leading Netpave is a porous paving solution with a proven track record for gravel and grassed projects. Available in two sizes, TDP Netpave 25 (25mm deep) and TDP Netpave 50 (50mm deep), it is manufactured from 100% recycled polyethylene and offers an easy-to-use, durable and porous grid solution for trafficked areas that require stabilisation, from driveways and pathways to commercial car parks.
Both TDP Netpave 25 and TDP Netpave 50 combine the unique benefit of flexibility with a rapid fastening system. Connected by lugs and slots, the flexible grids can be laid on undulating surfaces and gradients, without fracturing or separating.
Netpave products also have a high percentage open area, so are ideal solutions for SUDS.
For projects with the same requirements but greater budget constraints, TDP has launched its own brand product, TDP PorousPave. Manufactured from UK generated recycled plastic waste that would otherwise be destined for landfill, TDP Porous Pave is also recyclable in its own right. It can be used to prevent ground erosion on cycle and footpaths right up to heavy vehicles and emergency vehicle access. This versatile system is simple to install and self-draining.
Rob Barlow, managing director of TDP said, “In order to offer just the right product for the job we watch market trends very closely. Our porous paving range offers great flexibility for a wide range of applications, can be used as part of SUDS and avoids the need for planning permission when used for driveways.”
The products are available from builders’ merchants nationwide.
